The plan
We’re leaning toward a one-time payment rather than a subscription. A journal is a lifelong artefact; charging a monthly fee for something you intend to keep open for thirty years feels wrong. Final price and timing are still being worked out.
When pricing turns on, anything you wrote during the beta stays yours either way. Your data is exportable as a single ZIP from settings whenever you want, regardless of payment state.
What we won’t do
Sell your data, run ads, or share metrics with third parties. End-to-end encryption rules most of that out anyway, but it’s worth saying explicitly. Pricing is the only revenue.
